Adding a frame to a photo can be fun and easy. I am going to show you how to do it in Photoscape.
I showed you how to crop and watermark a photo in this tutorial so if you missed it be sure and check it out. There are many editing programs, I personally use Photoshop but Photoscape is a free program that is pretty easy to use.
Open up Photoscape and click on Editor.
There are quite a few different frames you can choose from – this is a photo of the campground nearby that I like to take my walks at.
It is that time of year…..splitting wood for our wood stove. We stacked our second cord of wood yesterday.
Oops….forgot this was a tutorial…..here is how to add the frames
Here is the main window in Editor.
Pick your photo from the left side.
Make sure you are on the HOME tab at the bottom – right below it is the PHOTO + FRAME.
When you click on the little arrow to the right of NO Frame………
you will see lots of frames, click on one or two to see what they look like.
There are many more things you can do with or without the frames using the 3 buttons below but for now we will just work on adding a frame from the menu.
The frame I chose is called Tape 2 – I re-sized my photo first (tutorial) – the widest size photo I use on my blog is 500. I knew I wanted a frame so I re-sized my photo to 450. When I add the Tape 2 frame notice the size of the photo increases. It is now 542 wide which is too wide for what I want.
I actually changed the frame size to 50% to get it to my liking.
Here you can see it at 200% – take a look at the size of the photo with this frame. What has gotten bigger is the size of the tape and background.
Don’t forget you can always click on undo and nothing is permanent until you save your photo.
Now just a few more photos from my walk along the Mississippi River and a couple frames for you to enjoy.
I hope you’ll try using some frames on some of your photos……..it can be addictive 🙂
