I’m getting closer to getting the second Nyan Cat pieced……..hope you’re not tired of looking at it but I am forcing myself to not start any new project until this is completely pieced and ready to quilt.
Someone asked if it bothered me to make the same thing again….I don’t mind as I am using different fabrics and also have changed a couple things. Besides that I did craft shows and stores for 7 years and no matter how many times I made the same table runner or wall hanging I still enjoyed doing it. I know I made thousands of coasters and hundreds of quilted lids for Longaberger baskets.
So what do I do when I need a break???? Play with my photos, I have forgotten how much fun that is!
Here is a flower that I played with in Photoshop. I put a texture over the top and did some blending on to get a vintage look. I re-sized the photo to a width of 500 pixels for my blog.
Here is the original cropped photo – I can see this as a applique, can’t you?
Below you can see the original photo I took and I have circled the flower that I cropped. This photo was 3,000 x 4,000 pixels. I always crop first and then re-size. I use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Elements but there are also graphic programs that are free or can be used directly from the internet and I’ll get a list up for you as several people have asked about them.
For now, I’m off to bed as Builder Bob needs an assistant tomorrow on his job…….guess that is me!
