Flowers with Dots and Lil Twister Wall Hanging
Today I get to share what I made with Dots! I decided to use batiks…..bet that doesn’t surprise anyone who stops by my blog. This is a little pattern I designed and guess what??? Builder Bob even liked it!
Sometimes when I am taking photos by the Mississippi river……I have to wait until the barges go by. It is always fun to watch them going up and down the river.
This little topper is on my new Ackfeld Table Topper. My freemotion applique is done on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing; now you can see the dots better on the flowers.
I also made this Lil’ twister piece that is about 12 inches square……now here are some dots!!
They are batiks also. After I made this it reminded me of my Calico Cat or you could call him a Flower Power Cat as I bought him in the early 70’s. Funny thing – the last time my daughter was over she decided it was really neat…..for years she couldn’t understand why I still kept it. Someday it will be hers…..but not today!
Edit: While updating this post in 2017 I realized my daughter now has the Calico Cat….how neat is that!
Looking at this quilt you wouldn’t know it was a mini if I hadn’t said so. You could use a larger Lil Twister template to make this in a larger size.
I just threw the border on by adding little strips……….the corners didn’t match up but I’m okay with that. Stop by tomorrow and I’ll show you how I put this together.
Thanks to Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt and Corrie from Quilt Taffy for all the work they put into this fun blog hop! Be sure and check out the other blogs participating today and you can always click on the Dots on Dots button on the left side of my page for the whole schedule.
