Celebrate the 4th Table Topper tutorial

Looking for a fast and easy quilt project? Here is a little table topper that I made that would be perfect for 4th of July in these fabrics or make it to match your decor and use it all year! We will celebrate the 4th of July wit this table topper.

Table Topper 12.5 inches x 16.5 inches

You could also use a regular 5 inch charm pack and just just the pieces in half so you have 2.5 x 5 inch pieces.

The fabrics are Clermont Farms by Polly Minick & Lauri Simpson for Moda. This was a little 2.5 x 5 inch charm pack of all the colors in their collection. There were 42 pieces. I don’t know if you can buy charm packs like this anymore.

I took each piece and cut sliced it lengthwise to give me 1.25 x 5 inch strips and then sewed them together in groups of 6. I trimmed them to a 4.25 inch square.

I used a 2.25 inch binding that came from my oldies stash and did a little free motion wiggle quilting on it. The dark blue fabric matched perfectly.

I made it 4 blocks by 3 blocks and used 72 pieces. You could make this any size you want just by adding more fabrics.

This was a fast project and could also be a great way to use up scraps from your stash. I hope you have enjoyed the 4th of July Table Topper tutorial.

I've never seen the 2.5×5 in. charm pack, but it would be easy enough to cut the 5×5 charms in half. Great way to use a charm pack and get a feel for the fabrics in that line! Happy 4th to you!

Very cute fun, patriotic table topper. Or a wall hanging. Excellent directions. Good idea.

Love it and love the wiggles too! Thanks for sharing this. I have some red, white and blue fabric left over from another project. Maybe I can make it up quick for July 4th! I'm going to try anyway.
