I finished up the binding on my table runners. This one will be for me as I like small runners. The size is 12 x 24 inches. I just used a red print that I had in my stash for years.
This table runner is 12 x 36 and will probably be a gift.
I did a tutorial on the blocks that I made using Ruby by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. I used 1 charm pack plus some white muslin for all 6 blocks. If you haven’t seen it be sure and take a peek.
6 blocks would make a perfect size for a baby quilt….of course the flowers would have to go the other direction 🙂 I would probably add a border to make it a little wider too.
A close up of the flowers done with free motion applique. I used dark green thread for the stems and leaves.
This particular block is the one I talked about in my tutorial – I didn’t pay attention to the fabrics I was picking. I prefer the corner snowball blocks to have a better contrast.
Would you believe I still have one more charm pack of Ruby……I may just make a baby quilt from it but not for a bit. I am feeling the need to just piece, piece, piece!
I have seen several paper piecing blocks lately that I just love and I really need to sit down and concentrate on how to do that. I have seen some great tutorials on several blogs lately.
We never got to The Hunger Games last week so Builder Bob and I are going tonight…..lots of popcorn and pop coming up!
