Remember this little teaser?
Well here are the 4 completed blocks.
I really want to do some free motion quilting on them but I need to decide how I want to lay the blocks out and what color of sashing………any ideas?
This one is done with a blanket stitch and pebbling in the center of the flower.
This rest of them are done with a free motion stitch – looks like I took this photo before I finished the center of the flower. I first did some appliquilt about 14 years ago when I was sewing little heart ties to put on Longaberger baskets. I cut a heart shape out and then put it on a larger heart of muslin, added batting and backing and free motion quilted it. I didn’t want to zigzag around the small heart so tried catching it in my free motion stitches. I will have to see if I can find one and show it. I have seen it done quite a bit anymore and it is fun.
Last week I won a Accuquilt Go! Baby from Laura at Artfabrik and have received it already! Unfortunately I didn’t win any dies so I can’t use it until I buy a cutting mat and a die. Thank you Laura! Now I just need to find a good sale. I really want the 3.5″ Drunkard’s Path, the 4″ HST and the Rose of Sharon dies…….oh shoot….I want them all! Can’t wait to try it out!
