The Affinity Quilt pattern makes a beautiful quilt, especially when done in batiks.

I am so happy to have my Affinity quilt in the Island Batik booth at Quilt Market in St. Louis, MO.  The fabric collection is called Vineyard.

The colors are really beautiful and vibrant in this collection.

I want to share one of the blocks from this quilt to give you an idea of how I write my patterns. Click to find the Affinity Block tutorial.

The pattern includes full-color diagrams of each step in making this beautiful quilt. I have also included a black/white diagram that you can use if you would like to make the Affinity quilt in different colors.

Can you see the ice in the Mississippi river? I took photos of my Affinity quilt last December before it was shipped to Island Batik.

  2. I cant believe I missed reading about your dad but I was in the hospital this last week so that may be why I missed it. I hope everything is going well and he doesn’t need surgery. Just wanted to let you know that I love the quilt and just finished downloading a copy of the pattern. May be a week or two before I get started on it but I’m looking forward to making it. Thanks for the discount!

    Beautiful quilt (as usual). Too bad what should be a happy time is overshadowed by a family emergency. Will be praying for all of you.

  5. It’s absolutely beautiful! I haven’t had much time this week to be online, babysitting the 4yr old GS for 30 hrs. and then playing catchup on the other days. What happened with your dad?
