Today I’m going to share a online trunk show of my favorite quilts with a little info on why I chose them. Soma from Whims and Fancies is doing a linky party where you can share your quilts as part of a online trunk show and I thought it was a great idea. I hope you enjoy my post and when you’re finished be sure and visit Soma and check out more trunk shows.

Log Cabin Quilt 1989

Hand quilted Log cabin quilt in a dayThe first quilt I will share was made a long time ago but is still my favorite quilt. This is your basic log cabin design which I made using Eleanor Burns Log Cabin in a Day book. She has always inspired me as her patterns are so easy to understand. This is also the ONLY hand quilted quilt I have ever made. Read more about Log Cabin Quilt 1989. Believe it or not….we still use this quilt all the time.

Worldly Lil Twister

Worldly Lil Twister Quilt TutorialThe next quilt has to be one of most popular tutorials – Worldly Lil Twister Quilt. I had so much fun with this one and learned that I really enjoyed writing tutorials and sharing with people.

Nyan Cat Quilt

Nyan Cat Quilt by Freemotion by the RiverThe Nyan Cat Quilt has to be the quilt that I had the most fun making. I had never heard of the Nyan Cat until my grandson asked me to make a quilt based on it. When I showed it on my blog I was contacted by the creator of Nyan Cat and he commissioned me to make him one.

Scattered

Scattered Quilt PatternScattered continues to be one of my most popular patterns and I keep making it in different colorways. I actually have a purple one hanging on my design wall right now.

If you follow my blog then you know that I am a ambassador for Island Batik and I share many quilts that are made with their beautiful batiks. These are just a few of them.
