Winter Blues Table Runner Tutorial for AccuQuilt GO! Qube

Winter Blues Tablerunner tutorial

Today I am sharing another fast and easy table runner tutorial.

AccuQuilt Winter Blues table runner tutorial

It would be perfect for the holidays! This is the Winter Blues table runner featuring the 12″ GO! Qube and also the new 12″ Companion Set. This could easily be made with any of the AccuQuilt GO! Qubes and your size will just be a little smaller.

Notice the big, beautiful tree in the background – yep, I took this picture a couple of days before we lost it. Can you see that our steps are tied to the tree and are floating in the water? When the tree fell, the rope broke and our steps floated downriver. Goodbye tree…..and steps! (Edit: this is an updated post).

  41. I am so sorry to hear about that beautiful tree. Trees provide so much comfort to all. I had no idea that the river would be raging at this time of year, anytime you can orivide the measurements would be great as I don’t have any cutting machines except me.

  42. Brenda Ackerman says:

Hello Connie, Sorry that you had to loose that beautiful tree and your steps. Were you all laughing as it happened or just kind of stunned? These are some of the events in our lives that help make some great memories. Your table runner tutorial/pattern today is lovely and I hope by next year I can make many of your patterns. I am still trying to get my tops basted to a background and quilted to add extra space to store items on or in. LOL. I also love the colors in this fabric you chose to use. It reminds me of the early snowfalls and ice formations that would occur when I lived in Wyoming. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope that you have a fantastic day!

  43. Alesha Klein says:

Beautiful table runner. I’m so sorry that you lost your beautiful tree, but thank God your family is safe. Little Sadie sure is a cutie, glad she is on the mend.

  44. With my love of fabrics and all colors of blue this is BLUEtiful. It has a Winter Frost look to it and I love it. Too sad your steps went with the tree. Lovely Rainy Bliss Today…

  45. So pretty! The colors are lovely. I know you miss your tree.

  46. I saw this on their blog and it looked great (a few pics got way skewed on my phone though) love your colors too! (oh and is there a way where your comment thingy is at the bottom instead of at the top of the post? I’m just a creature of habit) oh and congrats on the feedstop reader thing!!

    1. Sally Dea says:

No blues…. here… love this.. Blue is my fav… so pretty.

  47. Another lovely table runner! Looks like snow and ice colors.

It’s so sad to think the tree is gone. It looked like such a lovely spot to relax. We lost a big tree just outside our kitchen window about 5 years ago during a storm. We stood in the window and watched it lean, lean further, and then just fall (luckily missing the house). We replanted the biggest new tree we could afford and that red maple is looking wonderful as it grows.

  48. Very pretty. It must be hard to look at those photos now without the tree.

  49. Lori Smanski says:

this is very pretty. I love the colors you put together
sorry to hear about your tree and steps. Such a pretty tree it was.
