I had planned on having a post up with the tutorial for this little wall hanging on Monday but……it didn’t happen. I babysat my grandchildren for a couple of days and……the flu bug hit us. I didn’t even have enough energy or motivation to put up Linky Tuesday yesterday. Sorry.

We went to see the dinosaurs on Saturday and it was kind of disappointing for the money. $17 for me and $19 for each of the girls and we were done within an hour.

Afterwards I got a few photos of them in the leaves and we went to dinner. About two hours later my oldest granddaughter started complaining of an upset stomach and it wasn’t long before we in the bathroom…….spent most of the night in there. On Sunday she mostly spent the day laying on the couch and was able to go to school on Monday. Well….guess who got sick on Monday???? Me. I had a miserable drive home that evening…..there is nothing like your own home when you’re sick.

I can’t remember when I had the flu this bad. My joints ached, and I even thought I was going to pass out a couple of times. Anyway, by yesterday morning the worst of it was over and I could finally sleep so that is what I did all day. Even today my stomach is gurgling and it is a good day to just read a book. Oh, I talked to my daughter yesterday and Monday night the youngest granddaughter got it.

These are photos I had ready for a post on Sunday.

The stomach flu is always miserable! So sorry you all had to go and get sick!! When I was in Texas in January and February taking care of my two granddaughters, I got the flu (even though I had been good and gotten a flu shot)…102 fever and all the rest just sucked lemons big time with I had to care for a 7 year old and 19 month old! Took me months to get back to normal. Glad you are on the mend! Love your pictures of your darling grands 🙂

Hopefully you're feeling a little better, but there is a lot of it going around now. Two of our great granddaughters came down with it a couple of days ago and I hope it's out of the house by Thanksgiving since that's where we are going this year. Love your little PacMan quilt and it's so cute in pastels. Sending hugs to you for a quick recovery. What book are you reading? I listen to books all the time, so that way I can do most things while reading a book. lv2bquilting2@comcast.net

I had that one about a month ago. It was horrible! It took about four days to feel human again, so the end is in sight. Feel better soon!!!!!

Hope this passes soon and you are back to your self again. It is no fun to be sick, and this flu is brutal this year. Sweet little quilt, and I just finished piecing your pinwheel tiny quilt pattern in Christmas colors, will show it soon.

  14. You're right…there is no place like home when you are sick. Glad you are feeling a wee bit better.

  16. I wondered where you were and I did think you were probably with the grandkids. Sorry everyone was sick. I went down that path recently and can vouch that it is no fun at all. I'm with Creatology … that little quilt makes me think of Pacman. Yep, I'm old, too. lol Glad you are back.
