I just had to share a sneak peek at a quilt and tutorial I’ll be sharing on Inspired by Fabric in a week or two. I just love it! I think I’ll call it Summer Flowers.
Yesterday I got up and went for my walk with plans to work on the deck afterwards. Well, I was several blocks away from home (which is anywhere in our little town) and it started to rain. By time I got home I was soaked, it was still raining and guess what…….I can’t work on the deck!!
I had my bundle of Block Party designed by Ro Gregg for Fabri-Quilt that I showed you in this post and I had an idea of what I wanted to do so I grabbed a cup of coffee and worked up a design in Electric Quilt.
Someone asked for a better picture of the flower panels and here they are. Isn’t that background neat with the butterflies!
Here is a closeup of the sunflower in the center of my quilt…..see the cute little bumble bee!
I had three fabrics that I didn’t use in the quilt.
I also have some scraps left and I’m sure I’ll be making another project with them.
The sun came out right about the time I pieced my first block…….the deck rails are all sealed and I’m half way done power spraying the deck…..what does a quilter do when inspiration hits….keeps quilting until the piece is done. Then I went out and worked on the deck. Since I got a “late” start I’ll finish it today. Next week I hope to get it all sealed and be done with it!
I’m not sure when I’ll get this quilted, I want to do some thread painting on the flower panels!
