Spicy Spiral Table Runner Quilted
This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share a commission. Summertime is the perfect time to use the quilted Spicy Spiral table runner on the deck with my fun dishes from the Dollar Store.
I finished up both quilted Spicy Spiral table runners and this one is my favorite.
If you missed my first post where I put the Spicy Spiral table runner together, be sure and take a look.
When it comes to backing, I like to find fabrics on sale and use that. I also used Warm & Natural for the batting.
Closeup of the quilting, on this one I just used a Glide yellow thread throughout. I also changed the quilting on every other color in the table runner.
The yellow thread worked perfectly on all of the fabrics.
Here is the second one I made, I hope my daughter likes it.
For this one, I changed the thread color to match each fabric which was a little more work but worth it. I also used Auriful 50wt threads.
A little pink and orange print on the back.
I wanted to share a couple of photos of the back of the Spicy Spiral table runner. Here I have it laid out on the backing that I will use.
Next, I cut the Warm & Natural batting for the table runner. The directions in the pattern are excellent and I really enjoyed making both of the table runners. Don’t forget to read my first post about the Spicy Spiral Table Runner.

Spicy Spiral Table Runner Pattern
There isn’t a lot of waste when you make this runner but you know me……I’ve got to use up every last little teeny, tiny piece. I now have 6 little mug rugs all pieced and ready to quilt using the leftovers. These will make great little gifts to have on hand.
Fog on the river – it was just in front of our house and looked spooky! It was hot and muggy and we had just had some rain. My bell is still in the water……hopefully the river will start going down soon.

Love your Spicy Spiral table runners. I have made quite of few of these myself. They are quick and fun. They look difficult but really just more about the time it takes to cut them out. Sewing goes quickly. Love the bright summery colors.

The quilting on both of the table runners is fabulous. There's so much wonderful texture. You really don't waste a thing. The mug rugs are really cute.

Okay I'll admit I've never like this style of runner, they look like slugs to me. But with these bright colors it looks great! I may need to make one now! Love your table, so festive and summery. Funny how color makes all the difference in the world.
Your runners are gorgeous. I have made these too and they are fun. I however was not nearly as creative in my quilting. Now that I’ve seen what you’ve done I’d like to go back and make more. I will try your batting choice. One of mine was too puffy.
