Kitchen Stitches Book Review

I happened to have some Insul-Bright on hand so I grabbed some fabric from my stash and had fun making a double-handed pot holder which was one of the many fun projects in Kitchen Stitches: Sewing Projects To Spice Up Your Home. This project brightened my day!
I received a copy of Kitchen Stitches: Sewing Projects To Spice Up Your Home, compiled by Karen M. Burns and published by Martingale which is a wonderful new book full of projects in a variety of styles. The baguette tote on the front cover is beautiful and on my list!
Here is the double-sided pot holder shown in the book along with a matching casserole cozy.
Here is the one I made, the directions were very good and easy to follow.
Bob is already using it, I have no idea what is in that pan!
Here is another pot holder project that looks like fun.
We always use place mats on our table and the colors in these are so neat! There is even a table runner to match.
Here is a cute little coupon keeper and I know if I make this there might be two little grand daughters who will want it for their own.

I've been watching the projects that so many have been making from that book and know it is a definite must have book. I really like so many of them. I really love how bright yours is.

I have never made a pot holder but THIS kind makes sense! I usually use the gloved kind because those tiny little square pot holders do not offer much protection. This long thick sort is a great idea / I'd actually use it! 🙂

These are really cute projects, Connie. I love your potholder and I definitely need some new ones. I also wanted/needed some ideas for small projects to contribute to my guild's quilt bingo that will be held late this year.
