We have been spending the weekend in LeClaire, Iowa for a remodel weekend helping our friends build a storage room. I brought a couple of gifts…….

Remodel Weekend

The Pinwheel Runner is on their dining room table, the Sunflower Tablerunner is on a little table next to it and the little Mini Runner is in the kitchen.

They live along the Mississippi River up on a bluff and have a beautiful view of the river. There is even an island right across from them and Port Byron, Illinois is on the opposite side of the river.

Builder Bob doesn’t have time to look at the river….see these neat office cabinets…..they are going home with us for a new sewing room idea that he has.

Cabinets are out, the carpet pulled back, and building the storage room begins. Does anyone ever have enough room to store everything??

Walls are going up, the guys are doing a great job!

Munching Popcorn

They took a little break – munching popcorn – I couldn’t resist snapping a picture.

Ann is sooooo excited to have shelves and a storage room!

Sheetrock is up! That’s enough for one weekend.

The posts were left long as they will be removed when the tile is laid, then cut to the correct size and replaced. The sheet-rock has to be mudded, painted, a door installed, and trim put up – another weekend.

It is so nice to have high-speed internet! I snapped a pic of myself in the dining room mirror. You can see the river behind me through the tinted shades.

They have some woods to the side of them and I love the split rail fence. Tomorrow I get to sew!
